Rosie Weiss is a violinist, fiddler, studio musician, and arranger from Billings, Montana. She’s currently Assistant Concertmaster of the Billings Symphony and a new member of Thirdspace Quartet, based in Boise, Idaho. She also performs with the Bozeman Symphony and the Palm Beach Symphony in Florida.

As an orchestral musician, she has performed across four continents alongside artists such as Joshua Bell, Emmanuel Ax, Valery Gergiev, and Christoph Eschenbach. She was a founding member of the National Youth Orchestra of the USA, and she recently returned to Carnegie Hall to perform in the NYO-USA All-Stars Orchestra with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Daniil Trifonov.

As a chamber musician, she’s spent her summers at festivals such as Festival Napa Valley in California and Zephyr International Chamber Music Festival in Italy. With the Henry Mancini Institute String Quartet, she’s performed at National Sawdust in New York, and in the Billings Symphony’s Sukin Series. She also performs with her piano trio Zestrio in Montana and Wyoming.

In addition to her classical training, Rosie started playing with the Billings Ceilidh Fiddlers at age 4, and had won two Montana State championships in Texas style fiddling by the time she was 10. More recently, she’s been an instructor at the Montana Fiddle Camp, and has performed with Jeremy Kittel, Quinn Bachand, Bobby Hicks, Nicole Yarling, Gregg Field, and more. Rosie has recorded for artists such as Alex Lacamoire and Kishi Bashi, including a Grammy award-winning album by John Daversa.
